Five Reasons Why All Christians Are Obligated To Keep The Seventh-Day Sabbath: Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all their multitude. 2And on the seventh day God finished the work that he had done, and he rested on the seventh day from all the work that he had done. 3So God blessed the seventh day and hallowed it, because on it God rested from all the work that he had done in creation. - Genesis 2:1-3 NRSV
Death! Then what? Death has always been a mystery to man. All world religions, great and small, have offered their understanding of what happens to a human being at death. The issue of death has been addressed in the Bible also. First, in this study, some general misunderstandings will be put to rest. Second, the biblical teaching that death is a sleep and that death is a condition in which the brain is dead will be examined. Third, the few passages of Scripture that seem to contradict the second point will be looked at. And then, finally, the question of an eternally burning hell will be dealt with.
Jesus' Return to Earth Do not let your hearts be troubled. Believe in God, believe also in me. In my Fathers house there are many dwelling places. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, so that where I am, there you may be also. - John 14:1-3
Lord, Please Leave Me Behind The theory of the secret rapture is the popular understanding in Christianity today as to how the history of this world will end. In a nutshell it goes like this: the followers of Jesus will be secretly, silently snatched from this earth. Friends and relatives left behind will not be able to find them. With the church removed from this earth, God can then fulfill His covenant promises to Israel. Those Jews who believe in Jesus will preach the gospel to their fellow Jews and to the Gentiles who were left behind. All have a second chance to prepare for the return of Jesus and the beginning of the millennium. Between the rapture and the return of Jesus there is a seven-year period of tribulation. During this time the antichrist will appear. Under his leadership the whole Christian world is united. Favoring Israel at first, he turns upon them in an attempt to des troy them. It is at this point the Jesus returns, begins the millennium, and establishes His kingdom on earth.
The Sunday Texts in the New Testament If you have read through the study Five Reasons Why Christians Are Obligated To Keep The Seventh-day Sabbath, you are probably asking yourself, Why do we go to church on Sunday? That is a good question. The answer usually given by Sunday keepers is that Christ or the apostles changed the day of worship from Saturday to Sunday. But where are the verses or passages of Scripture that tell us the day has been changed? They do not exist.
Law and Grace: The Dynamic Duo One of the most misunderstood teachings of the Bible is the complementary role played by grace and Jesus law in the plan of salvation. Two pointed question must be asked that relate to the relationship between grace and law.

1. Can a sinner be saved by keeping the law while rejecting Jesus and His grace?

2. Can a sinner be saved by accepting Jesus and His grace while disobeying the law?
War Between Christ and Satan Suffering in all its forms as well as death is something that men have wrestled with for thousands of years. Very often people reap what they have sown, but how many times has the question been asked, Why do the innocent suffer? All world religions have submitted their answers to the nagging problem of sin, suffering, and death. But the only true answer can be found in the Bible.
Guilt and Forgiveness Believe it or not, feelings of guilt are normal. Problems arise when people deal with guilt in a dysfunctional way or have no ideal how to deal with it at all. People have feelings of guilt when they realize that they have done something wrong or have sinned. Here are some things that the Bible says about guilt and forgiveness. Take the time to look up the following passages of Scripture.
Millennium Since the dawn of the Christian Church, the 1,000 year prophecy of Revelation 20, popularly known as the millennium, has been the topic of intense study and discussion. It was Augustine (d. 430) who made popular the teaching that the millennium will be a 1,000 year period during which Jesus kingdom is here on earth. This concept has persisted in Christian thinking in various forms right up to the present time. Augustin believed that the 1,000 years began with the ministry of Jesus and that the Roman Church was the kingdom of God.
Signs of Jesus' Return Most Christians believe that human history will be brought to a conclusion one way or another (see the study on the return of Jesus). The big question is, How will we know when it is approaching? Jesus Himself gave His followers signs to watch for that will help them to know the end is near. He used an illustration from nature, Now learn this parable from the fig tree: When its branch has already become tender and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near. So you also, when you see all these things, know that it is nearat the doors! (Matthew 24:32, 33).
